Overview of Travel Routes
By air
The hotel is located at a distance of only 7.5 miles from the Zurich-Kloten International Airport (ZRH). To travel to the city center, take the train in the direction of the Zurich Hauptbahnhof (main train station), a 10-minute journey. The number 10 streetcar in the direction of Zurich Hauptbahnhof also travels to the center of Zurich (35 minutes). The journey by taxi takes approximately 25 minutes.
By public transport
At the main train station, take the number 3 streetcar (in the direction of Klusplatz), number 4 (in the direction of Bahnhof Tiefenbrunnen), number 6 (in the direction of Zoo), or number 10 (in the direction of Bahnhof Oerlikon), and get off at the stop called Central. As an alternative, it takes three minutes to walk to the hotel. To do so, leave the main train station through the main station hall, cross the Limmat River and you will find the stop called Central. Keep to the right and continue up the main street, Hauptstrasse, which climbs slightly at this point. After a few minutes’ walk, turn right onto Zähringerstrasse, following it for approximately 300 feet until you see the entrance to the Sorell Hotel Rütli.
By car
As no parking facilities are available at the hotel, we recommend that you leave your vehicle in the Parkhaus Central. This multi-story car park is located just a short distance from the hotel. A 24-hour ticket costs CHF 40.00.
